Cold Snap...
After today I decided I am not ready for this cold weather yet...WOW it was chilly! I know it wasn't nearly as cool today as it will be later on this winter, but I'm just not prepared for it yet. I guess I should say my body isn't winter-ized quite yet! Tonight it is supposed to get the coldest as it has all season, so far. They are talking a low of 27° where it has been around 34° as a low before. It's not a huge difference, I know, but I guarantee I'll feel it tomorrow morning as I head to work!
This morning didn't start out too pleasant for me. I went to get in the Jeepster and head to work and I had a flat tire...flat as in, flat as a pancake. I called my supervisor to give her the heads up that I would be late for work. After some calling around I was able to get some arrangements made to have the tire fixed, he came and aired up my tire and I took it to the shop where he fixed it. Once the tire situation was taken care of I ran back home to grab a couple things I left behind and head for work. I had everything picked up and was heading out the door when my supervisor called me. She said if I wasn't already on my way for work I could just stay home. We are far enough ahead on our quota for the month that they really didn't need my help today anyway.
Since I had the tire thing taken care of and I didn't have to go to work, I decided I would run to Memphis to finish printing the Buddy's menus. Since the menus weren't going to take me that long to print Mom and I decided we would just meet up and head to town together. Once we were in town I printed the menus off and we headed to the cellular store since Mom's phone had been acting up. She was having quite the dilemma because her equipment contract wasn't up until December, but she could buy out the remainder of her contract and get the discounted price on a phone...OR...she could upgrade to a smartphone right away...WELL... She too has a BlackBerry Curve 8500 series now, too. I spent bits and pieces of the afternoon giving tutorials how how to operate certain things on it since it is quite a bit different from the Motorola Razr VE20 she had. I have a feeling she's going to enjoy having the weather forecast and radar at her fingertips..and the QWERTY keyboard, too.
After she bought her new phone we met up with my aunt and ate at Pizza Hut, checked out the new Dollar General store, and headed home. Once we were home (home as in: my parent's home and my old home) we migrated cows from one pasture to another...I just about froze my a** off doing that! Once that was done I showed her more tricks to the BlackBerry and I headed back to my home. I spent some time here and then ran to Buddy's to drop off the menus, eat, and pick up computer parts that were delivered.
I was happy to get the parts in because I was able to work on one system that had been driving me CRAZY! I was having some major issues figuring out what was wrong with it and concluded it must have been the memory. The memory is what was delivered today, so I threw it in the system when I came home from Buddy's and it took care of the issue! So this is where I'm leaving off for the day! I have the system at a good stopping point so that is where I'm calling it quits for the night. Now I'm headed to bed!
