Moving On Up...
Welp...I'm moving on up in the world of phone technology. I got a new phone over the weekend, the BlackBerry Torch 9850, and so far I am in love with it. I was due for an upgrade and had been looking at this phone. My old phone was the BlackBerry Curve 8530 which I liked really well, so I thought I would stick with the RIM (Research in Motion) BlackBerry brand. If US Cellular wouldn't have had a touchscreen BlackBerry, I most likely would have opted for the Android platform...but they did, so I'm sticking with what I know and like for now!
My Curve 8530 had OS 5 on it and the new Torch 9850 has OS 7 on it, so it had taken a little bit of getting accustomed to. With the switch from OS 5 to OS 7 and from strictly trackpad to trackpad and touchscreen, it's taking a little bit to figure out all of the menus and what menus you can pull up just by holding down on the screen. I have a feeling I have more learning to do, but I have a feeling I am going to really like my new phone. Now I am just waiting for the case to be delivered that I ordered from the BlackBerry website!
Here's what the Torch looks like...
It has a very sleek look to it and a very sturdy, non-"cheap" feel when you hold it.
And then my case to protect it...
