Reading Material...
The two books that I had downloaded to read while I have been watching the front desk are done...I have read them to their entirety. I had even started to read "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", which I had downloaded for free. Luckily, tonight Mom loaned me a book by an excellent author, Mitch Albom. The book is called "Have a Little Faith: A True Story". If his other books are any indication of what this one will be like, then I'm sure it will be a good book.
Both of the books that I have finished in the last two days were excellent books. "Double Take" which I finished first is a must read. I will say the book didn't quite tell of the story that I wanted to read, but it was a great book nonetheless. The book that I finished today, "The Five Lessons You Learn When You're Dead", was a good read too. It is about a man who died a tragic death in the candy factory where he worked. On his way to Heaven he met with five people to learn the five important life lessons. It is one of those books that has it's sad moments and yet it has those moments where you chuckle. It is another book that I recommend reading.
I'm glad that we bought Mom a Kindle for Christmas, because it has reKINDLEd how much I love to read. It's nice to download a book to my Kindle app on my iPad and be able to have it in such a slender, easy-to-haul device. Now I'm constantly looking for good reads in the Amazon store.
Well...I think it's time that I call it quits for tonight. Time to shut down and head to bed. I took a Zyrtec-D to hopefully curb these stupid allergies that have been taunting me the last week or two. Unfortunately, I can already feel the pill kicking in already...I'm starting to get very...sleepy............
