Appreciated...

I'm starting to feel appreciated at work.  Most of my morning was spent testing equipment that needed to be sent back to Fenton for replacement/repair.  I was mainly just checking to see if they were really "broken" or just simply misdiagnosed.  Out of the pile of thin clients that were "broken" only half of them ended up getting sent back.  After I finished all of my testing and packed up the equipment for shipment I reported back to one of my supervisors with what I had found out.  Once I was finished telling her what I had done and handed her my list of PCs to be shipped she told me she appreciated me taking care of that since she is swamped anyway with her typical workload.  It made my day that someone noticed what I do and my attempt to do it well.  (Yea...I know...I'm such a kiss-ass!)  Even a couple weeks ago after spending most of my day testing all of the equipment that was piled in the conference room, my boss pulled a $10 bill out of her own personal pocket to pay for me to go out and eat supper that evening.  It is something she didn't have to do, but it made me appreciate it more and in turn makes me work harder.
