New Projects
As I am finally getting a little more caught up on projects, I somehow managed to dive head first into a new type of project with work's Social Media Committee. In an effort to draw in more followers to our social media websites, we have decided to start making short informational videos to post. The posts may be about safety tips or information about our services, but it's a new concept for our small group.
Our first video (filmed and edited by me) is about Winter Safety and how to keep yourself safe in the slippery Winter conditions. I thought that overall the video turned out pretty darn good, considering this is the first video that we've done and I am using the free iMovie software on my personal MacBook Air. Below is the video...
I give a huge shout out Thank You to Meagan, our Therapy Services director, for being the trial run guinea pig in our flagship video!
Somehow this small project has now turned into questions about a better camcorder, some wireless lapel microphones and a teleprompter. This then turned into me thinking about the possibility of grants or fundraisers to fund our filmmaking! Holy moly...this is turning into more than I really expected, but I am ecstatic about it!
I am meeting tomorrow with the Executive Assistant, who has dealt with grants on many occasions, to see what may be available for us to apply for.
Hopefully we can find a grant that applies and we can start making some awesome videos!
