Getting Older...
Well...here it is...just a few short days away from my 28th birthday...putting the big 3-0 just two years away. Boy, how does the time get away so quickly? It doesn't hardly seem possible that next year will be my 10-year class reunion, and this year was 5 years since I graduated from college. I guess time flies when you're having fun...or just keeping yourself very busy!
I will have to admit, this year (mostly the last 4 months) have been rather special to me. I started what I call "The Plan" in March and with some "bad" weeks, so far I've managed to officially lose 47 pounds according to last weeks weigh in. A few weeks ago I set my goal date to lose 50 pounds by my birthday...which is just Thursday. Typically I just weigh-in on Tuesdays only, but considering I was getting so close to my goal deadline, I cheated and checked on Saturday. As of Saturday I had made goal right on the dot of 50 pounds, but that was before the BBQ at my friend Kelly's and then Sunday dinner at Mom and Dad's house. After those to meals, I might really have to work over the next few days if I want to ensure that I stay at that 50 mark!
I made the decision at the beginning of last week that if I had met and maintained my first goal weight by my birthday that I was going to treat myself to a M&M McFlurry from McDonald's. I have been wanting one of them really badly, but they are definitely NOT on "The Plan" at 700 calories for a 12oz cup...so I decided it was best to buy one for a special occasion only! I have to admit, even though I have fell off of The Plan Wagon a few times, I feel like I'm doing really good for losing almost 50 pounds in four months time. It's amazing how much more energy I do have just getting the extra weight off...I can only imagine how much more energy there would be if my allergies would calm themselves down for awhile.
There probably won't be much for posts for the next few days. I have a few computers to take care of before my birthday rolls around.
