Ideas...

It's become very apparent that my brain needs it's own emergency shut-off switch.  Just sitting and watching television tonight, I came up with another video idea to help promote one of our services at the hospital.  This time it's a little skit for our Therapy Services department.

It's amazing how when you try and need to be creative nothing comes to mind, but as soon as you sit with an idle mind a glimmer of a new idea appears.  This time was literally like that.  I was either finishing supper or had just sat down in the recliner after finishing and the idea popped into my head. This wasn't just a little piece of the puzzle either, this thing played out in my mind basically from start to finish.  Needless to say, I whipped out the MacBook Air and started a rough sketch of the skit before I went all Dory on Finding Nemo and my brain changed channels on me.

The video that we posted on Monday for the introduction to Urgent Care would be what I call a huge success.  It has been our most viewed, liked, shared, most widely reached post yet...and had blown the others out of the water by a long shot.  This still has me having proud papa moments of my video baby!

Our CEO is ramped up with with the hype as well.  At 7:09 last night he was e-mailing our Social Media Committee about ways to promote our Facebook page (which by-the-way is www.facebook.com/ScotlandCountyHospital) and ways to engage everyone as a team and whatnot. As of late this afternoon, we now have a meeting scheduled with the supervisor of our Surgery Center about our next video production to promote their services.  Somehow my title of IT Support Specialist is now encompassing Social Media Committee...which is NOW encompassing some Creative Services.  This is what I get for having good ideas...and sharing those ideas.  (Note To Self: Start keeping those ideas to yourself!)

Well, it's time for me to crash for the night... that is, if I can silence the ideas in my head long enough to crash!
