Finally Feels Like Spring
After a long, cold winter, it's starting to finally feel like spring in northeast Missouri. Typically we do not have entire weeks of temperatures in the teens, but we definitely had our share of them this year.
Yesterday and today I have spent some time at Mom and Dad's house and starting to actually see signs of spring in the air.
On the way, I made a detour through the road that runs by one of their pastures. The wild plums were in bloom and another shrub/tree that I'm not familiar with.
And everything purple is blooming as well...the creeping phlox, the little violets on the side of the road and the lilacs (which are so fragrant, it's ridiculous).
Not that spring has finally made its appearance, I'm ready for some warm weather and maybe some fun in the sun.
