Trial and Error...

It's hard to believe that Easter is almost upon us.  I guess everything has flew by so quickly the past few months because I've been so busy.  It seems like just last week we were gathered for Christmas!  I decided for Easter that I wanted to try another spin on a cheesecake recipe I have, so instead of a cheesecake with caramel, pecans and chocolate in it...this on has raspberry and chocolate in it.  I don't like to make the recipe for the first time before I take it somewhere, so I always have at least one trial run.  There's a couple of thing I plan on doing differently, but overall, it turned out freakin' awesome!  I let a few others try it, and it got their seal of approval...SWEET!

I had a little bit of a hard time getting the chocolate to drizzle, so it kinda blobbed in some spots but here's what it looked like...

I've been on my music kick AGAIN this week,  so I've added a few new ones to my library...

1.  The Last Goodbye by David Cook (I'm a huge fan of his music.)
2.  On The Floor by J.Lo featuring Pitbull (Heard this one on hold and it stuck in my head.)
3.  Cooler Than Me by Mike Posner (Heard this one last weekend and it stuck with me like glue this week.)
4.  California King Bed by Rihanna (Saw her perform this on ACM awards and American Idol and really liked the song and her voice in it.)

My poor mind is like an iPod with someone hitting shuffle and skip all the time!

To say how un-exciting my life is...my excitement was learning there was an Angry Birds - Seasons update for Easter...

My main source of entertainment this week has been my goldfish.  I just bought myself three new goldfish this week.  I hadn't had any for awhle.  My last two had died, whether it was improper water conditions, disease or what and then the filter pump had quit shortly after, so I didn't deal with it.  I'm glad I took the time to find another pump and get more fish.  They have been quite the source of entertainment for me this week.  You wouldn't think about it, but each one had it's own demeanor or personality.  I've found it more fun to care for them when they have a name, so I named them after characters from the movie Arthur, which I went to see a couple of weekends ago.

(Arthur - Most active and thinks it's feeding time anytime you walk by the tank.)

(Bitterman - Least active and if I'm around the tank it hides towards the back of the tank.)

(Snobson - Middle in activity...joined the crew two days later.  I decided that the tank would look more lively with three fish instead of just two.)
They have said that goldfish have very short-term memories...Oh Pa-Lease! Just in the few days I've had them they have already figured out where the food in going to be entering the fish tank.  You wouldn't think they would be that different, but it is very interesting to learn their patterns and personalities.  Hopefully they will live longer than the last crew did!  (And just in case you're wondering...it's NOT fun trying to take pictures of fish in an aquarium...between the reflection of the flash on the glass and their moving, it make it rather difficult!)

Well...It's WAY past time for me to go to bed.  I stayed up until 12:30 last night working on a laptop, just so I could get it finished up quicker.  Time for me to hit the hay!
