Raw Apple Cake
I made a new-to-me recipe tonight to share at work tomorrow. Over the weekend, my mom dug out a Raw Apple Cake recipe from the archives that she hadn't' made for awhile. Their neighbor has been having an abundance of apples, so mom decided to make good use of them.
It's been a long time since I've has this cake, and it definitely hits my week spots...Considering that it has brown sugar, cinnamon, pecans, and of course...apples in it. This is one of those recipes that has that "OMG" factor and has that impress-your-coworkers capabilities as well.
I haven't made this recipe myself ever, and if I have helped Mom make it, it has been YEARS. I'm hoping all turns out well. If nothing else, it looks good!
We shall find out tomorrow if I will make it ever again. *fingers crossed*
Oh...and there is a caramel sauce drizzled over the top. If it wasn't un-healthy enough before with the sugar and brown sugar, this just literally topped it off!
